In the Vine - Poem

This poem was written after I learned that talking to Jesus throughout the day blessed me beyond my understanding and poured in strength, both spiritual, emotional, and energy, which naturally was not my own!  Abiding in the vine is the richest, blessed most wonderful way to live!

In the Vine
Seasons change, winters pass
And spring knocks
On our door
Or a storm
With a mighty roar
Sometimes through a bad spell
Our soul shrivels and shrinks
As we lose our golden link

Yet some of us stronger souls
In the darkness shine
As we abide in the Vine
And during that swirling season
We don't live on our wits, intellect or reason
And then we experience joy in that season!

In that moment in time
In communion with God
New doors swing open

His wondrous Voice has spoken
Our spirits rise to the sublime
We sit at His table to dine
His presence transfigures us
Miracles happen in our lives!
When we abide in the Vine

Under His Wings - Poem

Under His Wings
When we call unto God each day
Deep peace overflows us on our way
Jesus walks our pathway
Fighting off  vile spirits keeping them a-bay
He delivers us from all harm
Clothing us in His supernatural calm

Shielded in Heavenly armor, watched over
Powerful angels guard us as they hover
We are insulated from evil under His Wings
Delivered from demonic ropes and strings

While fiendish arrows fly in the midnight sky
We are swaddled from sudden death's cry
Under His wings blanketed, cocooned and safe
Under His wings, we transition to a delightful place!

Psalm 91:4:  He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings
you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

The Moral of the Snake - Poem

The Moral of the Snake
One day, Jaya saw a green snake
Glistening on the grass half awake
She exclaimed "Pretty" let me take you home!"
She took the snake in as Jaya often felt alone

Her friends did warn her not to take in a snake
Saying, "A snake is a snake, it know only to take
Jaya never listened, just happy someone was with her
Soon in time, the snake took over

The palace doors were locked and Jaya's music died
She sat alone with no real friends and often cried
The snake snuffed out the very meaning of life
Now, Jaya tried to throw the snake out
But the snake entwined into her soul like a knife
She could not throw her out, no matter what she did
The snake stuck on, and Jaya lost her grit

After many  years, Jaya became very ill
And the snake never let anyone in
One night, when Jaya was very weak
The snake gave her a venomous bite
 Jaya died without a fight

People know Jaya's life went for a bad swing
When Jaya first let the snake in
The snake kept all the people a-bay
Most of her close friends were thrown away
In death ,a deeper mystery shrouds Jaya today
People realize everything went wrong
When that snake came to stay

If you know it's a snake, never let it in
Or it will stick close to you, skin to skin
And soon keep you in a caged prison
Because if evil  lives in your home too long
In time, it will become a tradition!
By then, it's too late to quell its derision
In time, life fades away as in a vision.

Old Proverb:  A cow drinks water and it turns to milk
A snake drinks water
And it turns to poison

The Second Eden - Poem - A poem based on an incident..

This poem is based on a particular incident.  Evil on a person is not caused by the victim, but rather due to unfortunate circumstances and the evil in the perpetrator.  This poem is not to blame women for their clothing because in most cases, it is not even the clothes but the evil is already in a heart.  We will only get that safety in the second Eden.  Yet, as we pray, we still experience a great part of that Eden on earth today, our prayers do make a big difference.

The Second Eden
Rani lived in a palace with iron walls
She drove around with entourage
Who beckoned to her tiny call
She wore skimpy clothes with a war cry
Saying women should be proud of their bodies
Dress as they wished without any fear
Because their conscience was clean and clear

Maya challenged by this war cry
Marched out of home barely clad to do or die
And hungry prowlers stalked her on steaming hot streets
Suddenly, Lo! Some wicked men took her for meat
Maya came home that night a victim of rape
Thrown to the winds of a cruel fate
Broken, tattered, torn, in spirit destroyed

Rani shielded with big brawny bouncers
Went on shrieking her message of freedom
Encouraging women to fight for liberation
Women stomped streets
 making loud noisy declarations
None came to Maya, to wash her wounds
None came to mend her tattered ruins

In the Garden of Eden, Eve walked without clothes
Because she was in God's Shekinah glory enrobed
Purity reigned on earth, no lust sneaked on any road
Until the moment of the original fall
When demons dived in hearts, and lust grew tall

Until the Second Eden, there will be lust, rape and crime
There will be murky murders, slime and grime
We can lessen evil with our prayers
But we can't wipe it out
No matter how much we scream and shout
We can't change the world
But we can pray, things will be better
With prayers, we can loosen out a lot of evil chain fetters

Only the Second Eden
Will wash away the spiritual drought
When devil, demons and sin is thrown out
So right now, we got to be wise and take a safer route
Our problems won't walk away if we scream and shout
Rather pray and pray
And God will make a golden highway
Walk in Him
And our rights, needs, desires will be established in this Way
And we should await for the Second Eden
which is here to stay!
Life in the Second Eden will be golden and glorious
Beautiful, pure, exhilarating, thrilling and victorious!

A New Beginning - Poem

A New Beginning

I walk on a new road today
The pain, the sting of yesterday is ashes forever
I will never put new wine in old skins again
The effect will ruin the present; to cause more pain
That boxes of ashes I throw it the winds
Where it will be scattered in the wilderness
Never to haunt me again…

Today, the work the Lord is doing is a brand new one
I will not wrestle but be still as it is being done
Fighting against the ocean waves is certainly no fun!
When Lot’s wife looked back, she turned to salt
Just that one glance back was The Big Default

In silence and in wonder I witness your new work
The shadows of the past will then wither and shrink!
The glory of His new work overshadows the past
The memories of pain slowly fade away at last
The Lord does a wonderful new work in my life today
This awesome work will spring forth new beginnings
Great wonders will occur
And my life will be glowing and shining
From deep within...

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

An Ode to President Donald Trump

Many Did Not Understand

They lived in a land
With no borders
And at times
Things got out of order
He tried to build their walls
As each country has
Borders towering tall
But they hooted at him
With angry calls
Ignorant they were
Close to a fall
They did not like him
Because their spiritual
Insight was dim

He understood history
So he tried to keep out
The raging kind of refugee
Because he knew
Where it would lead
Someday, citizens may bleed
As each day is getting
More dark and sinister
So immigration laws
Are being made tighter

Many called him a man
Without a heart
Some did not think
He was too smart
They rebelled
Hoping he would depart
But he loved his people
And wanted their best
He fought on, labored
And hardly did rest

He made deals
To create new jobs
For the masses
And the angry mobs
Working to make them wealthy
With fresh schemes
To keep them healthy

Main media fabricated
Misrepresented him
They just did not want him to win
They created panic in the land
So things would get out of hand
They painted him
As a mythic monster
To incite violent mobsters

They did not understand
His big heart of gold
Encased in a rough diamond
And a spirit bold

Many did not know
He is God's
Very own chosen man
Who would help the country stand
Protect them from the enemies
Of foreign lands
May they wake up
To know this truth soon
Before the country lies in ruins

Wake up! Wake Up!
Then you will rise again
On eagles wings
Your land in unity will sing
When God heals
Your wounds and pain
Pouring love and revival
From cities, mountains
Valleys, rivers to plains!

Mama Do You Hear Me? - Poem

Mama do you hear me?

Mama do you hear me?

They called me a little egg
No arms, face or legs
A little heart beating 24/7
A little soul, happy in oblivion
I loved my Mama's voice
I would hear her
And my heart would leap with joy
I felt comforted within her warm walls
Felt safe secure as I never would fall

Then one sad cold day
To my dismay
I heard an evil stranger's voice
He spoke about making a right choice...
Something did not feel right
Then suddenly, something
Hard and sharp ripped me like a knife
I cried Mama, "Help me, set me free!"
My Mama did not seem to hear me
That monster attacked me with sadistic glee
I felt so helpless, Mama seemed far away
My world turned dark and gray
And then I faded away

Moments later
A beautiful angel came and carried me up
Up beyond and I was taken to My Creator
I got to learn the horrific truth
And my soul in sorrow did droop
For I learned my Mama wanted me to die
I heard this and started to cry
My loving Creator let me weep
And said, "I know your pain is deep
But in Heaven, rewards you will reap

Then He washed away my tears
And healed my pain and fears
He gave me a new body
And soon I was strong and sturdy

In time, I could forgive my Mama
Because you see
Right now, she still does not understand
She does not know
May she wake up
And in understanding grow
Before to eternity she goes..

I still ask her now
Mama, do you hear me?
If you do
Help others to go free...
May they never
End up like me...
Because everyone deserves
A chance to be...

You Are Never Alone - Poem

You Are Never Alone!
Did Peter feel the worst failure when the Lord he disowned?
Did Stephen feel the Lord left him when he was stoned?
When John on the Island of Patmos was alone
Did he think Jeremiah 33:3 was a distant phone?

These saints did seem to suffer great pain
But in the presence of the Lord
They stood to gain
His wonderful presence did blot out the pain

Peter was restored to a deeper love for the Lord
Stephen’s face shone with His glory when he died
John lived on and wrote the greatest books
Each one had a greater love for Him
If He was not there, this love would be dim

Today the Lord walks among the candlesticks
Trimming our lamps and cleaning our wicks
He will never leave us nor forsake us
Remember, you are never alone!
Jeremiah 33:3 is our closest phone!

The Song in the Night - Poem

The Song in the Night
One dark gloomy season
I trudged up a steep hill
With a burden on my back
Dark clouds hung around me
And lightening did crack
A distant thunder growled in the black sky
I started to panic and in fear I did cry

Then a voice pierced my heart
Saying, “You have to do something on your part
Look up and smile, and sing a new song
Keep singing to Me
And your soul will grow strong !”
How difficult it is to sing in such thick heavy gloom
With pain and great struggle
I sang in deep doom
And the darkness did eerily loom
Then slowly I looked up and sang new songs
But still I muttered and murmured,
“Lord ! How long, how long?”

Then slowly as time ticked its way
I saw from the sky, a Heavenly Golden Ray
The gloom slowly began to fade away
Like a dream in the night
In joy, I saw I was encased in Heavenly Light
And my song lifted to the Heavens
In power and might !!!
My darkness turned to light
I found joy and victory
In my darkest night!

Habakkuk 1:2:  How long, O LORD, must I call for help?
Psalm 32: 7:  You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance

Mother - Poem

An ode to all mothers whose labor of love is often unnoticed!

Dear Mother
A miracle was conceived to you in a moment of time
A child to you born, precious, a little star to shine!
A task, so grand and noble appointed just for you
To bring up a child with fresh wisdom anew

The burst of a golden dawn covered your heart
The joy of a mighty mission that would never depart
Though moments of fear may have crept deep inside
Would there be dark secrets you would have to hide?

Long weary nights you lovingly cared when your baby cried
Cleaning, cooking, washing, and soiled clothes dried
Training, teaching, and trusting God each day
Praying He would keep your child in a safe good way

There were happy years when your child brought smiles of joy
Wondrous family times with binding moments to enjoy
You laughed, you loved, you gave, and you cared
There were dreams so high you thought and dared

Years rolled ahead, some days may have been tough
The trembling fears were there, and the rocky roads rough
You learned to pray like a warrior of the kingdom of light
You learned to yield to God and never gave up the fight

As you learn to release your child to the Lord
In Him, you experience your sweetest reward
For in surrendering your child to His tender care
There was nothing to fear because He is always there!

Dear Mothers, We thank God for your lives
You never give up in the steamy storms or in strife
Your quest for your child has wondrous stories untold
Perhaps for many, only in Heaven will unfold

Your love goes beyond, trusts, perseveres, and never ends
Bearing, enduring, restoring, and always ready to mend
Kindness and calmness in you are abundantly stored

Your love, unconditional, reveals the heart of God!

Proverbs 31:28:  Her children arise up, and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her.
