O Earth - Poem

O Earth, Earth, Earth, hear the Voice of God!

Among the galaxy of billions of stars so bright
God chose Planet Earth to bless it with life and light
But humans chose roadways of liberty to redundant sin
Crime, killing, terror, lust, drugs screamed in the mad din
“O Earth! Earth! Earth! Hear My Voice! Cried the Lord
But humans blinded in a dark mist stumbled with discord

The days of evil cannot rule forever
Man on turning to God can end this terror
Only then is darkness overcome by Light
Only then will end all the horror in sight
God is on His throne and with authority reigns
Earth hears His voice in the growling skies
The howling wind trembles at God's voice
Humans' limited mind cannot fathom God's might
But when they turn to Him, the dark will turn to Light

One day, Light will shine over all the Earth
Evil kingdoms will fall and grovel in the dirt
The day will come when the world will together see
Glory, love, and peace and those who hate will fearfully flee
Others will rejoice because God Almighty has won the war
There will be no evil, darkness or terror no more
The people who turn to God will have joy forever more

Habakkuk 2:14:  For the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

Jeremiah 22:29 "O Earth, Earth, Earth, hear the Word of the Lord!"

Ode To All Prayer Warriors - Poem

Dear Prayer Warrior!
One day you heard a distinct call
And stepped out on the waters with eyes of faith
With a trusting heart, not knowing what would await
You trudged up many mountain roads
Many times carrying many prayer burdens
Until the Lord in His mercy would lift the load
Yet through it all you learned to trust Him
And through the darkest nights
You learned to sing…
Those times you rose on eagles wings
You are a great warrior in the Kingdom of Light
Your armor shines in the blackest night
The angels watch you and Heaven applauds
Because through your prayers, Earth gets great rewards
You are greatly blessed and anointed by the Lord

NLT :  Ephesians 6:18  Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

From The Storm To The Fire - Phillip Das - True Story

This is a story of overcoming evil with good, turning darkness to light and turning fires of hatred to kindle revival fires.

Phillip Das
Balasore, Orissa, India

One Sad Morning
It was an early cold January morning in 1999 in Balasore, Orissa, India, when I was awoken rudely from deep sleep due to a lot of talking of people in the house.  I was a young boy at that time and as I sat up on my bed rubbing my eyes sleepily, I could hear snatches of conversation of the cold-blooded killing of Graham Staines along with his two minor sons, Phillip, aged 9 and Timothy aged 7, who were burned alive while sleeping in their station wagon, having attended a jungle camp annual gathering the previous night.  I was aghast with horror at the sad news.  I too was a young boy like them, "How could anyone do that!" I thought horrified and afraid.

Graham Staines was an Austrialian missionary who played a great role in establishing the Mayurbhanj Leprosy Home, reaching out to the lepers, treating them and when they were healed, teaching them to make mats and hand weaving.  He spoke fluent Oriya and his kindness and love drew many to Christ, which was why he along with his two sons were killed by the Hindu activists that night.

Early that cold January morning, we set out to travel 40 miles to Manoharpur to meet with Gladys, his wife, and daughter Esther to pay our last respects and also attend the funeral.   We are all numb with pain and shock and on the way I remember the pastors discussing what they should do and they were especially worrying about how to comfort Gladys at this hour.  It was with great trepidation that we came to their newly renovated home.  I remember being struck with acute pain as I saw the toys and bicycles of Phillip and Timothy still on the verandah and it broke my heart, I being a young boy myself.

When we arrived at their home, I was struck with Gladys Staines, she looked calm, strong, peaceful and a tower of strength as she moved among the people asking them if they need a cup of water and seeing to their needs.  She only broke down when the song "When the Trumpet of the Lord Shall Sound!"  I saw victory in death in that Gladys Staines knew she would meet her husband and two sons again in Heaven and also power from within when she could say she has forgiven those who killed them!  I was deeply motivated from this time on to follow Jesus because I saw a strength and power and great qualities that come from those who belong to Christ.

I heard many whispers from different people saying "The ministry is over now that Graham Staines is no more."  Well for three years there was silence and it appeared that indeed it was over.  But then slowly, tiny miracles began to happen.  Some of the people involved in the killing heard the gospel from somewhere and started believing in Christ!  Others joined, soon, many, many people started believing in Christ and churches started growing and expanding over the area.  We could say that the seeds that Graham Staines had planted were now growing!

Ministry Calls
In the year 2000, the Lord called me to be a minister of the Gospel.  Though revival fires were spreading around Orissa, the climate is very spiritually sensitive, even to this day, 2015.  In 2005.  I got the privilege of ministering in Bhadrak District of Orissa. At this time I was 22 years old and I had a lot of fear in my heart as well as filled with joy at this opportunity.  I started working among Christians and sharing the gospel with people who did not know the Lord and who wanted to know more about Jesus and within one year, there was tremendous results as ten to twelve families new in the faith marvelously started attending my church.  In 2007 the month of January, two people Kamalini Padihari, 25 years and Trilochan Padihari, 30 years, took water baptism as a witness of their new life in the Lord.  Many new people started accepting Christ as their Savior.  This again drew the attention of the Hindu activists who kept feeling we were converting people to Christianity and the anger started brewing again and I was under their scanner at that time.

A Great Miracle and Protection
On Christmas, December 25, 2007, a curfew was declared in Orissa due to the previous conflicts between Hindu Guru Late Laxanananda Saraswati. On the same day in the church, we were celebrating Christmas and the church was filled with both Christians and non Christians.  Around 80 to 100 people had gathered there to celebrate the Christmas celebrations.  I was preaching from the pulpit when all of a sudden, 200 to 250 Hindu fanatics came to my church entering violently through the doors and windows.  All of them were inebriated, smelling heavily of liquor, carrying knives in their hands and rushing towards us mad with fury.  They started dragging each person out of the church, thrashing them violently and swearing, cussing, and cursing.

As I watched, I was stilled with fear and almost terror, but then suddenly as I called on God, a deep supernatural calm filled me.  I was suddenly in a different plane.  I was filled with great courage and strength and I was ready to stand strong no matter what happened to me, even if I was to be killed that night!  I was ready to die for my Lord. Within a short time, they also dragged me too by the collar abusing and hitting.  The church was surrounded by huge crowd from outside and the tension mounted it seemed for hours.  I kept praying within my heart for the protection of my church believers.

Suddenly something strange began to happen.  The activists started quarreling among themselves on some issue and went on to such an extent that they fought bitterly amongst themselves and then left the church!  It was the hand of God that saved us that day because they were bent on killing us.   After they left, I suddenly realized how close we were to dying and I was filled with fear and the calm left me!  It seemed the Lord gave me that calm for that situation and when it was over, I was normal again!  Later that night, a police officer asked me to leave the area as soon as possible or the situation would not be in my favor.  I was unable to take that decision as I was not sure whether running away was a good thing to do, so I just went to my house, went into my bedroom, shut the door and started praying hard.  As I kept praying, I had a strong sense that I should leave the place, so within fifteen minutes, I packed a small bag and left the area.  The next morning I reached home and I immediately called the police by phone asking them about the situation in the church. I got to know that the activists came to my home, and took away all my stuff and then burned my place. I realized I had a narrow escape from death as they would have surely burned me too had I been there!  I praised and thanked God for strengthening me in such a situation and allowing me to take a wise decision in the right time to go away.

The Fire From Below and the Fire From Above
The killings did not stop, even in 2008 another spurt of violence occurred where Christian were being killed all over. Many died in this violent spree.  This violence was sourced from the Hindu extremist party.  They set fire to many Christian settlements, and more than 40 people were killed or even more were killed.  In addition, several Christians were forced to flee their villages "after their houses were attacked by rampaging mobs.  The Hindutva burned 730 houses and 95 churches. Hundreds of displaced Christians took shelter in various relief camps set up by the state government.

Despite all this, today, there is a great revival in Orissa.  There is an old saying "The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church"well I could see that happening!  God's Spirit is the converter of the souls, not man!  In 1999, there were two churches are now there are now thirty two churches, with many, many people coming to the Lord.  In 2013, the churches grew and spread to such dimensions that Gladys Staines handed over the care of the thirty two churches to Indian Evangelical Mission as they would be able to take good care of the people and ensure the foundation of a good solid Word of God ministry be taught to the people along with prayerfulness.  Gladys Staines has returned back to India helping in the ministries as her heart was in Graham's India.  Her daughter Esther continues her medical studies in Australia.  Though there is still pain in their hearts because that loss is irrevocable, there is a victorious hope to meet their family again in Heaven.  Both the mother and daughter echo amazing forgiveness saying "The killers should not be killed.  We hope Dara and his accomplice will be transformed and follow the right path!"  As we know, Dara Sigh is presently in prison.

What started with an evil storm brewing which led to an earthly fire burning alive many humans sparked a spiritual fire from Heaven and today spiritual revival fires are burning strongly in Orissa where more and more people want to know Jesus.  It is a work of the Spirit and not of man and we cannot stop them because they seek Christ, they seek God, it is their own spiritual hunger drawing them nearer to God.  The Hindu activists keep saying Christians are converting.  They cannot understand the simple truth.  God sends His message of Love throughout the world through any human being who is willing.  He keeps people in their own countries to share this message or sends them overseas, but while humans are messengers, no human can convert a soul, it is Spirit to spirit, only the Spirit of God can convert a human soul so by killing other humans in thinking they are the converters, religious activists are in great danger of actually fighting with the Spirit of God, the converter of souls.  In John 16:8, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit: “When the Spirit comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment."

Phillip Das

Only God is the true  converter of a human soul.  No human can convert anyone.  It is God's Spirit to a human's spirit that converts.  Every person's experience is different and unique. With some dramatic; with some, a slow walk uphill in steps, no one is superior in their experience.  In the end, all that matters is whether we were walking with the Lord, obeying Him and living in Divine Love, producing the fruits of the Spirit.

Under His Wings – Poem

When we pray and call unto God each day
It is with deep peace, confidence, and calm
That we know there is nothing to fear on our way
Knowing that the Lord has gone before us
He has walked our pathway to deliver us from all harm
Covering our lives with His wings of protection

We are shielded in Heavenly armor and watched over
By God's strong angels as they are guard us and hover
Fighting for us when arrows fly high in the midnight sky
Delivering us from evil, accidents, and sudden death's cry
We have nothing to fear when we pray to our Lord
He is our protector, defender, shield, our mighty God!

Under His Wings of Protection - Testimony

A short testimony of how prayer builds a wall of protection around a family to protect them from a road accident - Albert, Laly and Family

On June 27, 2014, evening in Bangalore, Albert, Laly, and their two young boys, Isaac and Jonathan got into the Maruti red car, looking forward to a good road journey that evening.  They were travelling to Coimbatore, which is about 365 kilometers away from Bangalore, invited to speak in a retreat for IT professionals the next day.  They always enjoyed good road trips, travelling often from Bangalore to Kerala.

Albert is the Director of Abhayam (place of comfort) a healing place for addicts, and his wife Laly always focuses on prayer.  In fact, that year 2014 began with a week of prayer and fasting, which they often did.  In fact, Abhayam and their own home is infused with prayer.

As they were travelling on the road at around 8 pm that evening, they noticed a car ahead of them with youngsters driving wildly and at breakneck speed .  A few minutes later, that car ahead of them suddenly braked and Albert jammed suddenly into the car.  Albert was sitting in the front with Isaac and Laly in the back with Jonathan.  The front of the car caved in, Albert's head smashed into the steering wheel, bleeding profusely and the windscreen was fully shattered.  With splattered glass all around and a badly mangled twisted car, anyone looking at that would shake their heads sadly and say, "Poor things, no one could have survived that one!"

People suddenly came running from all directions and on opening the doors found all four huddled inside, bruised, bleeding, but no broken bones!  Albert and family had a glorious time of thanksgiving in the car on realization that all of them were alive.

A few minutes later, they sat in the petrol pump at Sangagiri, the exact location where the accident took place, taking time to absorb the whole wrecking incident.  They found out that the youth were drunk, which was why the driver braked so suddenly in an inebriated state of mind.

As the family waited, their minds cleared and began to focus on God.  He kept them alive for a purpose.  They went ahead with their meeting in Coimbatore, the next day which became even more meaningful and powerful to everyone.

The next day as they were reading the Bible, they got Psalm 68:20, " And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death."

They learned two lessons from this – God is in control, not their driving skills.  Secondly, they were in the right kind of ministry, because every addict they helped to change actually enabled them to save many lives because alcoholics on roads can bring disaster to others as well.

God keeps His own under His Wings of protection in times of disaster.  When we abide in Him, His protection is on our lives.

Be Still and Know That I am God - Poem

When the world is rushing, racing and crashing
When the storm waves are roaring and lashing
When your heart beats so fast and you are terrified
Know that when you call God, He is on your side

When you are still and rested in Him, there is deep calm
Because He is holding you in the hollow of His palm
And just trust Him that to you never will come any harm
No more in any storm will you fearfully grope
Because the plans He has for you are a future and a hope!

Soon, God will arise to display His power and might
He will reveal His glory to the nations to destroy the Earth's Night
When we commune with Him, in rest, in His presence, wonders happen
In that deep, deep stillness in that night, new beginning sharpen
As God displays His glory, He reveals to seeking hearts secrets sublime
The waiting world who calls on God will transform in that moment of Time!

Psalm 46:10 He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the Earth."

Fear And Faith - Poem

Shattered by cold shadows of fear deep inside
I limp to my Savior’s arms to abide
“Have faith, my child” He says, “For it is the key”
He then quickens me in the path ordained for me

As I look on His face, all icy fears flee
He swings open doors, as I rest now in trust
My fears flitter away like ashes and dust
Then His strength fills and nourishes my soul
My fear vanquished and I am joyous and whole

Now I chose to look at Him in faith each time I am afraid
In the face of faith, I am free from fear's cruel plunder and raid
My life is translated to something wonderful and is never the same
Something exciting happened when I opened my door to Faith
I opened my door to a Highway that was miraculous and great!

As World Terror Rises World Prayer Arises - Poem

When the Earth is hit with crashing terror waves
When the Earth is stalked by senseless evil rage
When pain, sorrow and agony fill the Earth with despair
Then powerful nations join to fight a horror we all share
When millions of people cry and weep endless tears
No safe haven is found, nothing to drive out fears
Then each teardrop is gathered in Heaven's bowls
Each heart wrenching cry is heard in Heaven
From every soul
God hears, He answers, He heals torn nations
Pouring out healing balm
He sends His Army from Heaven to fight stalking evil ravens
We need to stand united to pray and pray and pray
Then Heaven will open to show the Higher Way
With our prayers, God's Army will shatter this terror fight

And God's Light will pierce the darkness and the horror night!

The Story of the Divine Transfer - Albert P.J. - True Story

A true story of a young man who miraculously got delivered from drugs one cold winter's night...all because of the power of Divine Transfer

Albert P.J., Bangalore, India
Early Days

Albert P.J., Bangalore, India
Albert P.J. has felt the call of God on his life to start Abhayam, which means "refuge", a center for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, which provides a stabilizing atmosphere for recovering addicts and over the years, hundreds of people have received help through this ministry.

Early Days
On a cold November day, I was born in Bangalore.  At the moment of my birth, the family was waiting around anxiously.  My father especially was hopeful they would get a baby girl.  When the nurse came out showing the baby and announced it was a baby boy, my father was strangely silent.  No one really noticed it much.

My father was an Army officer.  He believed in the law of rule and disciple in his house, so the house was managed in an authoritarian way.  We children had to get up early mornings, even on holidays and freezing cold Bangalore winter mornings, we had to cultivate good eating habits and eat with etiquette and have crew cut hairstyles for us boys.  Every thing had protocol with perfection as the goal.  I had an older brother and after me a younger sister.

As I was growing up, I did academically very well.  Somehow, though, I did feel my father did not play around with me as I would have liked or talk to me much, on many occasions, I felt ignored.

One day when I was around five years old, my father said something out of the blue, "Actually, we did not really want you, we wanted a girl."  This statement cut me like a knife and I was deeply wounded.  Perhaps my father never realized the insensitivity of his words would fester a spirit of rejection over the ensuing years.  After that statement, I felt the need to be appreciated.  I went an extra mile to please my father; however, my father was never pleased and I felt he was constantly finding fault with me.

My mother loved me and was always kind to me.  Her spirit was gentle and her words were few.  I, however, did not feel my father loved me, and I grew weary and sad, I was fed up with life itself sometimes even wondering why I was born.

School Days and College
One day, in the classroom, one of the boys brought forth a challenge in the break time.  He pulled out a cigarette from his trousers and said, "I dare anyone to smoke this full cigarette while the next class is going on."  No one dared to take that challenge; it could mean getting expelled from the school.  I stood up and calmly said, "I'll do it."  As the teacher entered, students watched breathlessly in wonder as I smoked the entire cigarette in his class.  The teacher did not seem to get a whiff of smoke at all!  When class was over, the boys rushed to me and picked me up hailing me and shouting! "You are our leader."

I felt wonderful. I felt accepted for the first time and was a hero now in their eyes.  I drew closer to these friend circles.  I felt smoking elevated my status among friends so I continued smoking.  I was hardly in the house much now, I was drifting poles apart from my father and brother and sister, and they slowly sensed my distance now.

I then joined a college.  During the first year, I did well in all the classes and attended regularly, life seemed to be having a purpose studying in the college.  As I lived in Richmand Town, the happening place in those days of Bangalore, in the 1980s. The pub culture drew the youth in droves and college kids hung out there most of their time.

During the second year, I met some boys who invited me to join them in pubs.  The old trick was while someone would order a beer, another man would insidiously slip in a drug in the drink, a practice that is still rampant to this very day in Bangalore, luring hundreds of youth into drugs, first giving them a free taste, and then getting them hooked.

Caught in the Web
I was one of those hundreds that got caught in a vicious cycle of drugs and started injecting myself with heroin, alcohol, smoking pot, the whole works.  I was trapped in a wicked web of addictions from which I could not disentangle myself.  I rarely went to class, and was officially recorded as a drop out.   I started working at odd jobs to support my drugs, trapped and hooked and I had no road of return.

I also got into gang fights, drug taking and drug pushing, and an aggressive form of lifestyle, this was getting me in and out of jail very often, and no one seeing me would believe it because I was a short skinny guy!  I always carried a knife in my pocket and my hand would draw to my knife if I found anyone staring at me for too long and led my gang as the gang leader.  But slowly that position fell as I delved deeper into drugs.

The Darkest Alley
Finally, I had to leave home as I could not continue staying at home while living on dope.
Friends started feeling a little uncomfortable having me around as did my friends' parents.  At that point in my life, I used to only wear black clothes.
I rarely took a bath and in fact, I even looked ugly with the gauntness of my bones due to my drug use and an unhealthy skin pallor with a bluish tinge.  So, it was not surprising I could not find a friend to keep me even for a few nights.

One cold winter night, I went out, searching for a place to stay.  I wandered to the nearby Johnsons Market.  I shivered as the cold air ripped me as I was thinly clad.  I gathered newspapers I saw around and huddled down on the streets covering myself with the newspapers.

"Well, this is a bit better!" I reflected to myself, trying to cheer myself up. I made it through that night and many more nights and days on Johnson streets, often having to ask passerby's for money as I had reached that state.  Many would look at me, shudder and turn the other way.

He Broke My Chains
One evening as I was walking along Johnson Street, I saw another boy and I felt glad to see him as he was a boy I had studied with in school though he did copy from me in the tests!  As I approached him with a smile on my face, the boy looked at me, and abruptly turned and walked away.  He obviously recognized me but wanted nothing to do with me.  At that moment, I felt the familiar sting of rejection.

I was deeply hurt and also badly shaken.  I slowly walked down the road that cold night thinking "Why am I like this?  What happened to me?"  I walked to a park near the market.  I could see my house across the park.  I sat down in the park and thought for a while.

At that moment a song suddenly popped into my head.  It was as if God reminded me a song which I learned in Sunday school. The song was like this “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so…….”. I asked God, "Do you really love me?  Nobody loves me in this world.  if you really love me, get me out of this mess."

As I spoke to God for the first time, I felt a supernatural peace filling my heart.  It was an amazing sensation.  I never felt like this before, not even when I was high on a drug trip.  In fact, that was nothing compared to this, this had the essence of purity.  I knew it was God.  I realized I wanted to kick something out of my life real fast.  I searched my pockets for all the drugs I had there, and with a matchbox that I had, I made a bonfire of all the drugs.  As I watched them going up in smoke, I felt exhilarated and liberated.  It was a miracle!  I was set free instantly from drugs.

I then made my way home.  As I knocked on the door, my mother opened the door and gasped with joy to see me, declaring happily, "I was praying for you and I knew you would come home."

This was the beginning of a new life for me.  I had no withdrawals, no cold turkey, no shivering-wet-drenched sweats and I never had the urge for a drug again.  That was around twenty years ago.  It was an outstanding miracle.  Jesus broke my chains and set me free instantly!  I didn't go through any medication, but God touched and healed me.

The Highway of Holiness
After my miraculous delivery from drugs, I regained all that I had lost.  I rejoined college and came out with flying colors as the best student in the college.  I excelled again in all that I did.

Later, I took a little holiday time off and went to visit an aunt who lived in Gudalur, Tamil Nadu, an agricultural village surrounded by beautiful fauna, flora and lush paddy fields.  One evening as I was walking though the paddy fields enjoying the fresh crispy coolness of a paddy field, I heard a very clear audible, powerful voice call my name.  I jolted in shock.  No one knew my official name "Albert" in this place.  I was affectionately called "Roy" a nickname that everyone around called me.  I was still in a state of shocked surprise by that voice calling my name.  I did not see anyone around; it was empty space for miles.  I did not know what to make out of it and felt I needed to talk to someone urgently.  I made my way to the pastor of the church of that area, a godly wise man.

When I shared what I heard, he listened carefully and then started explaining to me, "God can call us in many ways, sometimes impress things in our hearts or sometimes, very rarely though, in an audible voice, He speaks.  You, Albert, have had the joy of hearing His voice audibly.  He must be calling you by name for He has a plan for your life"  As the pastor spoke, I felt my heart warm up, I felt it was true, and thought, yes, God has spoken, He has a plan for me, He has called me to do His will."

I did not waste time.  When I got back to my work, I spoke with my boss, who was a believer of Christ.  When my boss heard about the voice calling Albert, he looked at me and agreed, "God is definitely calling you out, to do His work, and now, nothing must come in the way, go ahead and serve Him in ministry."  This was another confirmation to join ministry and I quit my job and first decided to join a Bible college.  I joined one Bible college in Brahmavar, a small beautiful town in Karnataka.

One evening, the call came very clearly to me.  I knew what I had to do very suddenly.   I knew I had to help drug addicts, the broken-hearted and the unwanted to draw them to the love of God that they might know Jesus and His mighty delivering power, to set them free from their bondage to drugs as I had been set free.  I started praying and moving in that direction.  God did bless me and I was used among people as I shared my testimony, sang songs, playing the guitar, prayed, and lived a life of purity and this was a marvelous witness to many people of the miraculous intervention of Jesus in my life of instantly delivering me from drugs.

I then met Laly.  We were both working in youth ministries. She was working in Campus Crusade and I was working in Kerygma.  I found Laly very calm, sensible, down to earth and a prayer warrior and was drawn to her kind cheerful nature and deep spiritual strength and I then proposed to her.  We got married in December 1999.

After marriage, since the call to work with drug addicts was very close to my heart, I shared this with Laly and we both prayed much together, fasting and praying for God's guidance.  "It was a joy for Laly and me to witness these wonders in Abhayam. We have two boys, Isaac and Jonathan and both children are a great blessing to our lives.

Abhayam the Shelter and Refuge
Slowly, with fasting, prayers, as we waited on God, we started Abhayam, which means "refuge", a center for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, which really provides a stabilizing atmosphere for recovering addicts.  On June 6th 2007, we started Abhayam officially." Abhayam provides a stabilizing atmosphere for the ex-addicts.  Prayers, songs of praise and worship to God, Bible reading and studying time and exposing them to a church atmosphere so that could provide an opportunity for God to touch muddled and wired minds.

God is using my wasted years for His glory.", " We cannot mention all the names here, but we want to thank you for the families and friends who stood with us and prayed for us in all our difficult moments and happy moments. Thank God for allowing us to go through all difficult situations to equip us for His glory.  We want to continue to glorify God!"

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Only God is the true  converter of a human soul.  No human can convert anyone.  It is God's Spirit to a human's spirit that converts.

God Can Change - Poem

If God can change Moses
From a murderer to a deliverer
If God can change Jacob
From a cunning running man
To a mighty noble prince
If God can change David
From impulses and mistaken passions
To be the very man after His own heart

God can change me!
Why wouldn’t He cause me
To rise on eagles wings!
Yes God can!
I can sense His transforming Hand
Only His touch can change me
And make me what He wants me to be

Celebrate O Women! - Poem

Celebrate O Women!
Women all over the world
Through many cultures and ages
May sometimes drudge through slush
And mud through painful sinking stages
In swirling shadows in gray light
They sometimes slink through life
Regarded not as a precious person
but a possession, property, a mere obedient wife
In old days, many forbidden to appear or speak in public
or sit along with men
Women were often barred and rejected
From the cozy club of great men's dens
Voiceless, loveless, powerless
Even considered shameless was their plight
They move in a no man's land existence
In the loneliness of twilight

Then, Christ came to Earth from Heaven
And broke all cultural chains
He spoke to women in public
Washing away their taboos and stains
He rescued, forgave and restored women
That men would stone to death in righteous rage
Jesus released women from their prison of judgment
Taking them out of a iron-barred cage
He breathed new life on unloved sad women
He loved, touched and healed
Restored, to rise and shine
Enriching their otherwise empty lives
With the marvelous and the sublime
While many were furious
With Jesus for ignoring the rules of timeless culture
Jesus ignored them, honoring and loving these women
Rescuing them from venomous vultures

In the Garden of Eden, Eve, a woman
had great glory, honor, respect and love
Eve lost that glory with the curse of the Original Fall
Then, Jesus on Cross broke every curse
And poured back blessings from above

He breaks a woman's entangling ropes of restriction
Rejection, loneliness, and depression
Now, He gives each woman an important mission
And message to take to others' lives
Jesus appeared first to a woman, Mary Magdalene
After His resurrection to give the message to all
He protected, assigned and placed women in positions
To accomplish the Higher Call.

Today, Jesus blesses and assigns woemn
leading them to do greater things
Today, Jesus enriches women's lives
Enabling them to fly on eagles wings
He leads, encourages, strengthens, nourishes women
To do something marvelous and great
Each woman can do it, God is right on time
And it is never too late, so do not hesitate!

In Jesus' eyes, every human, man, woman and child
Is beautiful, unique and precious to Him
So our value and worth and reason for living
Is propelled adding value and blessings by Him
So celebrate O women! Rejoice always
And accomplish something new and wonderful!
Because Jesus said, "In Christ we are One"
Together we fall, stand and rise and together
The war against cages, chains and bars is won!

Galatians 3:28:  There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Powers, Principalities and God

Opening our human spirits to unknown spirits can take us to an unknown pathway to destroy our lives and take us to an eternity without God.  A caution to be careful not to dabble with forces we know nothing about...

In the 10 commandments in the Bible, the first 3 in Exodus 20 are:
  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. You shall not make idols.
  3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain
 Powers, Principalities and God
There are many pathways, many ways, many spirits, gods, powers and rulers.  In that maze of controversies and choices, we have practices like tarot cards, crystal ball reading, palmistry, sorcery, magic, spells, tea leaves reading and a host of other practices all storming into millions of minds and magic seems to be the lure and cure for masses, wonderful, inviting and the new mantra of the New Age.  The claim of this roaring rolling movement is union, be like gods, be one with the Universe, evolve to higher beings, higher dimensions, experience life at this fullest to become what you want and evolve with that knowing and growing...

The New Age Movement:  This is a soul-journey which wants you to discover the god in you!.  This was the whisper that Satan gave Eve in the Bible in Genesis 3:5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

A spiritual man said he would stand in front of the mirror and worship himself.  In his understanding, he was right.  He was a god.  This was the promise given by Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, the divine knowledge given to all who practiced yoga, the nectar given to all the soul-searching mediators.   In the Bible, wanting the very place of God or to be looked to as a god is blasphemy, the very act that led Lucifer, Satan to be thrown out of Heaven.

For man to say he is a god and he has to look in himself to find the god in him is a New Age thinking.  It has its serious repercussions.  It is in direct contrast to the Bible, which says, Romans 3:10.  There is no one righteous, not even one".  Jeremiah 17:9:  "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it".

Satan always wanted to be like God, the very desire to be like God is a deeply rooted hatred and rebellion to the Creator who alone is to be worshipped and adored in His glory.  Satan said, "I will ascend into heaven.  I will be like the Most High." (Isa 14.12-14)

Mindless Meditation:  In Yoga, having a still, calmed, rested mind is essential and balm to the soul's constant crackling thoughts; however, the technique of emptying the mind takes another road, which meanders to another spirit realm.  Emptying of the mind is very dangerous.  Stilling the mind and quietening the mind is very different from emptying the mind.  Once you empty your mind, an altered level of consciousness transpires.  The consciousness mind is no longer active.  Will and volition vanishes.

In shamanism (witchcraft), black magic, and tantrism (an Asian tradition of beliefs, meditation and ritual practices that seeks to channel the divine energy of the godhead into the human soul, in order to attain siddhis (enlightenment) and moksha (salvation) will tell you that an altered state is consciousness is essential in order to contact other spirits and this can only happen by emptying the mind.  This is a very essential requirement for a spirit force to enter or for a person to be transported to another realm.  Even people possessed by an evil spirit have taken this step for a spirit invasion.  They wait and wait and wait, empty minded, sometimes muttering chants and humming, until they are taken over by the spirit force.  They have gained powers, without doubt.  It will control their minds over years, but in the end, the very thing that protected and promoted them will destroy them.

A great swami in the 1800s, whom I will not name, is reported to have had a strange death.  When they found him, his hair was electrified and he had a look of shock.  He was a strong devotee of, a goddess of destruction.

Among this, we have yet another art hailing the world, yoga.  Yoga in Indian traditions, however, is more than physical exercise as it has a deep spiritual core to unite with God and in order to do that, one must have an altered level of consciousness.  In Death of a Guru by Rabi R Maharaj, he wrote: "Often while I was in deep meditation, the gods became visible and talked with me.  At times, I seemed to be transported by astral projections to distant planets or to worlds in other dimensions.  It would be years before I would learn that such experiences were being done in laboratories under the watchful eyes of parapsychologists through the use of hypnosis and LSD.  In my yogic trances, most often I would be alone with Shiva the Destroyer, sitting fearfully at his feet the huge cobra coiled about his neck staring at me hissing and darting out its tongue threateningly.  Sometimes I wondered why none of the gods I ever encountered seemed kind and gentle and loving.  But at least they seemed real - I had no doubt of that - and not mere myths like the Christian god Santa Claus".

Never are we supposed to do mindless meditation.  We can wait quietly upon God to hear Him, but emptying is dangerous.  Worship of God brings the love, joy and peace that man is looking for. A still quiet mind is wonderful and very peaceful, but emptying I repeat is opening our human spirits to other spirits.  God does not need any ways other than His to accomplish His works of glory and power or even for us to gain better health mentally and physically.  Any methods other than His method are dabbling with the occult.  This no matter how effective and good leads a soul into a different pathway.  See 2 Kings 17:17 and Deuteronomy 18:9-13.  The dangers of emptying the mind is also explained here:  "Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first".  Matthew 12:44-45.

Daniel 1:8.  It is important we do not open our spirits to other spirit forces.  The aim is to unite with God, but if one cannot identify God or have personal relationship with God, then definitely, we are opening our human spirits to contact another spirit and that union with an unknown entity would bring dire consequences and destroy us in the end.

The Most Powerful Spiritual Way:  If we can let go of these practices which opens our doors to different principalities and powers, which we can never have a clue to know who they are who insidiously open spiritual pathways which takes us away from The Way, The Truth and The Life. The simple truth which may seem boring to the million masses is this:  Just run to God and He will open the door through the power of His Spirit who we receive on our Salvation of believing on Jesus who gives us a spiritual rebirth, "a born-again experience" in the Holy Spirit Life, then our life will take us through powerful spiritual dimensions of Truth, The Way, and The Life, the claim that Jesus made of Himself.  Either Jesus was lying, mad or telling truth.   One has to make that choice.  Only you can do it.  No one can do it for you.   Once we decide who we will follow, then our lives will fall into line.  Spiritual Truth will illumine our spirits and our soul will be overflowing with the warmth and the joy of His Presence dwelling within us.  Meditate on the Eternal Word, which through the power of His Spirit who we receive in our Salvation of believing on Jesus who gives us a spiritual rebirth, "a born-again experience" in the Holy Spirit Life, then our life will take us through powerful spiritual dimensions of Truth, The Way, and The Life, the claim that Jesus made of Himself.  Either Jesus was lying, mad or telling the truth.  And when we start simple exercising, walking, all the time-tested methods that our ancestors did, we will have wonderful long, happy, healthy lives without these practices which lead us to unknown pathways away from The Way, The Truth and The Life, then God will surely bless us above and beyond what we can imagine!

Joshua 1:8:  Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
