The Second Eden - Poem - A poem based on an incident..

This poem is based on a particular incident.  Evil on a person is not caused by the victim, but rather due to unfortunate circumstances and the evil in the perpetrator.  This poem is not to blame women for their clothing because in most cases, it is not even the clothes but the evil is already in a heart.  We will only get that safety in the second Eden.  Yet, as we pray, we still experience a great part of that Eden on earth today, our prayers do make a big difference.

The Second Eden
Rani lived in a palace with iron walls

She drove around with entourage

Who beckoned to her tiny call

She wore skimpy clothes with a war cry

Saying women should be proud of their bodies

Dress as they wished without any fear

Because their conscience was clean and clear

Maya challenged by this war cry

Marched out of home barely clad to do or die

And hungry prowlers stalked her on steaming hot streets

Suddenly, Lo! Some wicked men took her for meat

Maya came home that night a victim of rape

Thrown to the winds of a cruel fate

Broken, tattered, torn, in spirit destroyed

Rani shielded with big brawny bouncers

Went on shrieking her message of freedom

Encouraging women to fight for liberation

Women stomped streets

 making loud noisy declarations

None came to Maya, to wash her wounds

None came to mend her tattered ruins

In the Garden of Eden, Eve walked without clothes

Because she was in God's Shekinah glory enrobed

Purity reigned on earth, no lust sneaked on any road

Until the moment of the original fall

When demons dived in hearts, and lust grew tall

Until the Second Eden, there will be lust, rape and crime

There will be murky murders, slime and grime

We can lessen evil with our prayers
But we can't wipe it out

No matter how much we scream and shout

We can't change the world
But we can pray, things will be better

With prayers, we can loosen out a lot of evil chain fetters

Only the Second Eden
Will wash away the spiritual drought

When devil, demons and sin is thrown out

So right now, we got to be wise and take a safer route

Our problems won't walk away if we scream and shout

Rather pray and pray
And God will make a golden highway

Walk in Him
And our rights, needs, desires will be established in this Way

And we should await for the Second Eden
which is here to stay!
Life in the Second Eden will be golden and glorious
Beautiful, pure, exhilarating, thrilling and victorious!
