Do Not Worry - Poem

If you are worried and afraid
Hold on!
Turn to the God of all hope, joy and peace
The more you call on Him
More joy He will release
Peace! Be still!
He will hold your hand
Leading you step by step so you can strongly stand
So rest in Him and all fears will be washed away

And you will walk on a safe Highway this day!

The Minister's Daughter

This story is based on a true incident!

Ministry Days
Pastor Rai and his wife lived in the busy city.  They had an extensive crisis intervention ministry called Help a Call Away.  Many people in distress, suicidals, families breaking up, children on drugs and the depressed and broken-hearted could give a call and help would immediately be at their doorstep.  A counselor would start talking on the phone and encourage them to come over to the Help a Call Away Center if they were in a severe crisis and someone would take them in the center, a huge bungalow with a beautiful garden.  There were several rooms used for counseling in the bungalow plus counselors.  A cook resided in the bungalow, and made good food as well as made coffee and tea throughout the day.  Pastor Rai and Sarah believed that food and beverages would help them to de-stress, unwind and talk about their problems in well-aired pretty rooms.  Counselors as well as Pastor Rai and his wife Sarah would be available to counsel them and pray with them, and they even held Bible classes once a day, as the Word of God was healing to their souls.

Their parents were busy throughout the day, helping, counseling and putting broken lives back together and many, many families were helped by them, many teens broken pieces were mended and healed and Help a Call Away Ministry started becoming famous.

They had 2 daughters, Piyah and Sunaina.  Piyah was the elder, beautiful, vivacious and bright and Sunaina, the younger was pretty with a gentle personality.

Sunaina was kind, gentle, very wise, clever and sharp and in a sweet way, over the years, learned how to get her way, through a great diplomatic skill without hurting or crossing swords with anyone. Over the years, people grew to adore Sunaina because not only was she sweet, and very wise whenever she spoke, but she was also very generous and shared and gave tiny pretty gifts to people. In contrast, over the years, she made Piyah look clumsy and a little stupid as Piyah's would shoot her mouth, with open-aired statements without tact.

The Conflict
Pastor Rai and his wife Sarah had faithful workers.  One of them, Sunny did not get along with Piyah and one day, they had a tiff.  Sunny was afraid that Pastor Rai and his wife would fire him, but to his relief, Pastor Rai's wife Sarah later spoke with Sunny and told him, "This Piyah just does whatever she wants and says whatever comes to her mind, she deserves that quarrel you had with her, she needs to calm down!"

Sunny was relieved.  The next time it became easier to find himself in a tiff of words with Piyah.  He soon discovered that Pastor Rai and Sarah were finding Piyah "difficult to control" and would readily stand up for Sunny if he had a quarrel with Piyah, so he mercilessly set Piyah up in different situations, and then would report her "misdeeds" to her parents.  In retrospect, her parents would fly into a fury with Piyah.  Meantime, Sunny did not understand why he disliked Piyah so much and why he wanted her parents to thrash her verbally, but he knew the parents would listen to him over Piyah and he liked the way it made him feel.

The Doldrums
Over the years, Piyah met a man, and they were about to be engaged.  Her parents were not very pleased with the young man. In time, the young man walked out of Piyah's life because he said her parents were impossible.

Piyah had wanted to help in the ministry in Help a Call Away during her time of breakup, but parents informed her that the board of directors had some questions about her working there and it was not appropriate for her to be there because of some mistakes she had made that were questionable to her character.  Her parents told her they were helpless in the situation and could not allow her to work because the ministry had grown so large and they were dependent on the help of others.  They got entrapped by the enmeshment of their own ministry and were not free to do things in the spirit many times because as they said, "we have great accountability to the board members and others who invested their money in the ministry."

One Sunday afternoon after church, there was a big family fight and her mother told her to leave the house.

Her mother told her sharply, "You can look after yourself, go out and work, you are capable, go and get a job, this is not your home anyway, go, Piya, go!"

Piyah left the house not really knowing where she would go and what she would do, but someone from the ministry gave her a ticket and a little money to leave.  She ended up working in a large company in another city.  From then on, Piyah fell into series of relationships, one would break up and then she would get into another relationship.  She always needed to be in a relationship as it made her feel wanted and special while she was in it.  Deep down, she had craved that love from her parents.

In the meantime, back home, Sunny rose in power, shinning knight in armor next to her parents, their trusted confidante.  Sunaina was now happily married with children and she had moved out of the home.  The international network of friends of Pastor Rai and his wife Sarah were told that Piyah was a mess and she was no longer in ministry, working in secular companies, so she was cold-shouldered by many of them as well.

Piyah found herself trapped in a fiendish encircled web created by her family and their close associates, to keep her out of any Christian ministry, so she too started become distrustful of people and even a little self seeking in her relationships with friends because of her desperate needs. This was something she had never been before.  She lost many of her remaining friends because of this.

Her mother, Sarah would tell her friends in the Christian ministry   "What a state that girl has fallen into. I cannot believe that she has fallen so low, what a mess!" and they would give sympathetic clicks.  "What a terrible girl, what sin she is in" people would say sadly.

When she was met on the road, the Christian people snubbed her and eventually it came to the state that she was not welcome in Christian crowds.  She eventually left each city and settled in a small town.  She prayed to God, but her prayers were now more for survival and self centered all the time.  She had no capacity to think of anyone else anymore.

The Meeting
One cool October, Friday morning, a strange lady knocked on the door of Pastor Rai and Sarah.  A lady introduced herself at the door.  She wore a clean crisp green cotton sari.

"Good morning!" she said pleasantly, "My name is Ms. Madan"  I have come to meet you, I have been praying for you and your ministry for years, though I do not know anyone personally, but that was the burden God gave me."  Sarah politely asked her in and gave her a glass of chilled lemon juice.  In the crisis intervention ministry, they were used to all sorts of people even coming to their home, though they were always warned to be careful.

"I have a strong compulsion to tell you something, I feel it is my duty, I feel God is making me tell you" began Ms. Madan.  Wrong start unfortunately.  Sarah was usually and naturally wary of people with messages from God.  But the lady had burning brown eyes, and she looked somewhat pure hearted and sincere, so Sarah listened on.

"Your children are loaned to you by God, they are not yours, you have a responsibility to bring them and help them, even more than the others, God gave Piyah to you, she really needs help.  More so, you need to forgive her if she has slipped and done things wrong."

Sarah her mother snorted, "We love her and have forgiven her whenever she had fallen, and helped her time and time again, now I leave her up to God, in His hands, I can't do more than what I am doing!"

Ms. Madan continued, "You need to help her walk again, your own daughter, as you help people in Help a Call Away"

Sarah shook her head and closed her eyes and then stood up abruptly and said "Ms. Madan, today I have an important meeting, I am on my way out, so I will have to go, but thank you for telling me this message."

She coldly showed her out to the door, besides herself.  Noone ever told Sarah that she was wrong because she was perfect, an epitome of love, kindness and grace crowned with generosity.  Internationally, she was greatly loved by all the women.  Sarah could never go wrong, but ah, Piyah was a mess and this lady had the audacity to punch the blame on her?

Just before Ms. Madan stepped out she said, "You could have prayed for Piyah, and all would have fallen into place, but you drove out prayer from your ministry, your ministry is Good Works, unempowered by prayer!"

"Nonsense" snapped Sarah, "we pray much, we are a praying people"

Ms. Madan shook her head and said, "You don’t understand real prayer, with forgiveness cleaning your hearts, not only to Piyah but hundreds of others who have left your ministry, your unforgiving spirits have blocked your prayers and your self-righteousness has been your robes, not the blood-bought robes of Jesus."

"While each human is responsible for choices and actions and consequences of their actions, there is another side to this as well.  The Bible says, "Do good when it is in your hand to do so."  Many times, Help a Call Away had opportunities to help Piyah out, and help to establish  in some direction, but you helped her just a little but never helped her enough to stand up on her own.

The truth is she is not strong enough to make it on her own, so she is talking the help of strangers who are using her in bad ways.  It is a spiritual thing, like a demon opposing her, as if someone had sent something on her way to destroy her.  Seeds of unforgiveness brings a curse in a family.  Unforgiveness from the family is keeping her in greater bondage.  You did not protect her from people in the ministry and allowed them to verbally attack her and ill-treat her.  Other people took advantage of her because you did not openly stand with her.  They started to tear down a person who is already down making sure she would never rise again.  Forgiveness is a spiritual law, it sets us free and sets the unforgived person free, then only curses are broken.  In this case, unfortunately, most of the Christians just got judgmental and kept her out of the "club."

Sunaina who happened to be visiting home at that time came out of her bedroom and told her mother in front of Ms Madan, "Get this witch out of our house!"

Ms Madan shook her head and walked out and they shut the door sharply after her, trembling.

The Lamp in the Dark
Ms. Madan had a mission to do, she had to go and meet Piyah, who was presently living in Goa.  She knew Piyah needed help, someone to talk the truth to her soul.  She made her way to Goa, finding Piyah's address from Piyah's friend, Gina.  When Ms. Madan knocked on Piyah's door, Piyah was glad to meet Ms. Madan for the first time and shared many things over the few days they were together and had a delightful refreshing time together.  Piyah gleaned much from Ms. Madan's wisdom and was blessed.

Ms. Madan told Piyah"God has better plans for you, where you will be greatly blessed and a greater blessing.  In Help a Call Away, you will always be a shadow serving a dream that was never really yours.  Let us pray today and ask God to open new doors in your life, but first, forgive your parents."

Piyah replied, "All this is strange and new to me, I do think I have already forgiven them, because I do love them, but let me think, if I did not really, may God show me."

The Ladder
One night, Piyah could not sleep, she drew the curtains and looked out at the silver stars, they shone mysteriously against the black sky and Piyah wondered "Why is life such a mystery, why is God such a mystery?  How long will I go on like this, distrusted and mistrusted by all, unloved, un-cared for, and even slandered by many Christians?'  As Piyah wrestled all night with these thoughts, what she did not know was Ms. Madan was wrestling for her soul before God….As she did so, suddenly a light broke through Piyah's soul.

Suddenly she got an answer, first, she had to release all things, even Help a Call Away to God and not look back.  Then she had to release her parents in surrender, if they did not want to contact her, she decided she would praise God for the situation as it was because she trusted that God was in control, and He allowed it all to happen for a bigger plan and purpose.  With effort of her will, she started praising God for the situation as it was, she stopped pleading with God to change her situation and she praised God for her parents, as they were because God was in control of that too.  Next, she asked God to give her a vision of what He wanted her to do.  In the next few weeks, Piyah got a clear understanding that she needed to walk before the Lord always.  Her call was Being, not Doing. Being in the Presence of God where great things happen and enabling begins. Being where in Christ, she starts to be the person He created her to be in His original plan.  She had a great call on her life, that would set people free, but she was never to establish an organization, if she did it, the call would dry up, as it did with her parents.

After Ms. Madan left, Piyah got a job in management of the parish in the town. In the cool calming atmosphere of the parish, she found her thoughts clearing up.  She started constantly praising and praying, her life began to change, new people were connected to her and doors started to open.  Piyah prayed with people, and things started changing.

When people saw Piyah doing well, the people who had snubbed and mocked Piyah pretended that they never snubbed her acted as if nothing had happened in the past and tried to greet her warmly, because there was an evident blessing on her life.  God had given her what the cankerworm had stolen.  Jesus seemed to nudge Piyah, "Piyah, forgive them them as I have forgiven you."

She eventually got married to a strong, stable Christian man who loved her and stood with her, in the calling God put on her life and also had his only personal walk and calling.  They complimented and helped each other out.  They prayed with many broken people, helped in whatever ways they could, and their prayers were answered simply because they practiced the presence of God.
"Never make ministry an organization or the whole vision will change and always put your family before your ministry!"  The calling is being not doing! They learned more people were helped by simply reaching out in the power of prayer and hundreds of depressed found their joy in the Lord.

Piyah eventually had a little daughter and she vowed she would never do what her parents did to her.  She vowed never to "expose" her children to the other people in ministry during their tough times in order to garner more prayer and support, but in reality actually was shattering down the protective walls of the children's lives so cruel vultures could attack them ripping them apart while the poor children are down... and in the end, all that Christians did was judge their children, gossip and hardly pray for them at all.

In the early days in the Bible, Christians never started organizations, nor was it there in the Bible to start human-made ministries.  The recent trend of times has actually compromised the sharing of the gospel, as well as traded the power of Christ for organizations which though created to help, actually have brought workers in greater bondage to the chains of ministry, in the web of intrigue and conspiracy for some people who wanted greater gain.  Good-hearted ministers have been really unable to reach the broken hearted in a powerful way because it was with the arm of flesh and not with the liberating power of the Holy Spirit in Christ because they were enmeshed in ropes of rules created by man.

***************************************************************************
This story is written because  I have really seen this happen to pastors' children.  People in ministry are so busy helping others or spending a lot of time with their friends, co-pastors, attending seminars and conferences that they forget their own children or become too harsh and judgmental on their children and actually this is a delusional of a self-righteousness spirit that binds the family in a curse, which is very hard to break.  Things keep going wrong, and in some cases, marriages split up and further damage happens, which is of course the big ball game for Satan.  The parents never realize how they harmed their children by not establishing them when or even praying battle prayers for them until they were delivered.  Unfortunately, many parents in ministry keep sharing with others about about their fallen children perhaps for sympathy gain which really causes their children more damage and pain because everyone is viewing them lowly, so it is very hard for ministry children to get up again.  The structure of ministries is more like a corporate organization, breeds more germs of harm rather than love and grace...to others.

Revival Fires Can Happen Today

Spiritual Revivals Blessed Nations:  Today nations suffer due to lack of prayer with a dwindling number of people who walk in the Fire of God's Presence.  The devil hates humans, who are made in the image of God…so warfare is a big battlefield in the entire world with many struck down and he is trying his best to keep everyone in a back-slidden zone or far away from God where they will never walk with God.

With this NOT being about prosperity, there is a connection between the Presence of the Lord and a blessing falling in all spheres of our lives in His Presence...In the past, I could not help but observe that Britain in the 1800s rose to be a world power and went through a glorious age called the Industrial Revolution.  During this time, spiritual awakening shone over England, John Wesley, Charles Wesley, George Whitefield, Smith Wigglesworth, Charles Spurgeon later and many others brought winds of change in England which spread to world and the economic prosperity of England flourished during this time.  Maybe a couple of centuries later, there are no spiritual revivalists in Britain, churches are empty and many in Britain say that the Muslims bought the churches turning them to mosques as churches were lying vacant and unused.  In Britain today, Islam has overtaken Anglicanism as the dominant religion as more people attend mosques than the Church of England and today, Britain is no longer the dominant powerful world power as in the past and over the years, the economy has gone down as compared to the past.

Again, America went through winds of change of revival around the same time.   The principles of the Bible ran very strongly through the early part of American history and over time, great evangelists rose in America, in fact many tent evangelists and many Christians walked in the Fire of God's Presence and did great and marvelous things.  I do believe God blessed America to become the most powerful nation in the world.  Though there is a powerful remnant of believers in America, today many have rejected Christ, and created new laws to keep Christ out of schools and even Christ is X-massed out of Christmas, popularizing Santa Claus widely and commercially.  In this rejection of Christ, I do believe America is sliding down slowly, and financially is facing more troubles than before.  Before, in the Great Depression, Americans had wonderful testimonies of how the Lord cared for them through it, but today, there is more rage and anger in the many of the people against the financial fall they are facing.  At the same time, because of the remnant of praying powerful believers, the blessing of America is still not completely taken away!

During the time of Sadhu Sundar Singh, Bakht Singh and many others in India in the early 1900s...villages turned to Christ, people got healed supernaturally and many wonders happened..which is why Christianity spread in India and all this happened because of the mighty Presence of the Lord.  Today, perhaps we do not see such though of course there is still great things happening, yet not in the proportions of a revival which awakens a nation to God.

A Communion Walk Changes Everything
The reason why the storm brews and the pot starts to bubble again is because the majority of us Christians do not have a "communion walk" with the Lord.  This means we get up in the morning, pray, read the Bible, read a devotion and then start the day.  Throughout the rest of the day, we rarely speak to the Lord, the fire in the soul is cold.  Over the years, this condition continues, the soul is cold, and one dark day, things get really bad.

Abide under the Shadow Of His Wings to Deliver us the Storm
As believers of Christ, when the storm hits so hard that there is no time to even pray or if we are in deep emotional pain or shattered, there is only one thing that can protect us beyond anything from that ugly wrecking storm and that is hiding in the shadow of the Lord's presence.

As we abide in Christ, in His presence, wonderful change happens.  The great secret is that even if we spend hours in prayer and the moment we walk away from prayer and live in our own thought patterns without connecting to the Holy Spirit, our lives start to feel empty very soon, our cup is half full and we live in carnality without compassion and love for others.  It is not that I am underestimating prayer, but if our prayer does not continue in fellowship, we are disconnected from the Lord.  It is really abiding continuously in His Presence with constant communion that fills our cup to overflow with richness and blessing to others around us as well as ourselves and our prayers are powerful and mighty on Earth.

Throughout the year 2015, the words" shelter of His wings" brought great release and comfort in my times of meditation.

Under that shadow, we are deeply protected.  Peter dwelt in the Presence of God, and when his shadow fell on the people, they got healed!  Such change can happen when we dwell under His Shadow.  Then revival fires can blaze through the nations again, once again, before the return of Christ, before the end-time prophecies will be fulfilled...(the final ones like the rise of the anti-Christ, not yet revealed and the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem) if we start learning to have a communion walk with the Lord....again, the greatest revival today that we need is a repentance revival, not a miracle revival.....

Beautiful Outside

Once there was an apple
Beautiful on the outside
Inside was a worm gnawing
Yet nothing on the outside showing
A heart unseen to the world
May have a bitter core
A heart of hatred
Hatred consumes
Destroys
In the bitter end
A person is destroyed
By his or her own worm of hatred
Just as an apple
Is destroyed by that worm

The Land of the Scales

Ever experienced this?  Someone you knew from your yesteryears who was on fire for God, empowered to serve…then down the road you meet them again, to find out they are atheist or in another faith, whatever.  I mean when you knew them those days, they were powerfully born again.. so what happened!?

I had good old friends from school days and college were on fire for the Lord always telling me what the Lord was speaking to them while I myself was not saved during my school and college days, so I was interested in their progression of growth, and watched from the sidelines.  Years down the road after I was saved, I met them again and talked about Jesus never imagining for a moment they stopped believing and they smiled sweetly and said "Oh, we were so immature those days, it is like a dream now!"  I was stupefied and mystified.

The questions looms, did they lose their salvation?

Truth is once you are saved, there a dozens of verses to confirm that God will never let us go..He holds us on the palm of His Hand and no one can snatch us out.

Then there can be two answers to this mystery.

The first is this:
Either a person was never born again in the first place.  The person may have just had a wonderful emotional response to God which faded over time.  Salvation is a spirit to spirit experience, the Spirit of God awakens the human spirit to spiritual life and saves the soul.  Yet, if there is an emotional response to the Gospel, over time, emotions change, flicker and fade.  Nothing in the realm of emotionalism is stable.  As water and oil do not mix and the oil of the Holy Spirit never can anoint and bless a soul if the soul is filled with water figuratively speaking and the water of the world washes away spiritual truth offshore where their spirit never really had a spirit encounter with God.  Flesh, emotions and spirit do not mix if not in balance and harmony and in right order as oil and water do not.

The second is this:
I know a young man who was so on fire for Jesus he wanted to serve Him in ministry and start a Bible study and read the Bible cover to cover along with tons of Christian books.  Then one day, he had a series of bad situations happen in his life and he hated God.  He professes today he is an atheist; he roars with anger at the mention of God and is a very angry man.  He even stopped working..and stopped speaking with most people and is living in isolated misery.  He is a mystery, because he was "more" born again than many born agains, better than most!

I believe that he has not lost his salvation, but right now is living in the Land of the Scales.  Satan has temporarily blinded him and covered his eyes with scales.  A person who is really saved will always have the Holy Spirit to convict them of their sin, even if it is at the tail end of their lives.  Today, he has rejected God, and the world says he is on the road to hell.  But somewhere, the Holy Spirit is there, quenched, but waiting to convict him of truth, one day.

To the world it may look as if such people have lost their salvation.  The truth is even on their deathbeds, the Holy Spirit will bring them to repentance.  Because once we are saved, we are sealed with the deposit of the Holy Spirit, sealed means never leave..we quench, we reject, but still one day, conviction will flood such people again.  Even during spiritual revivals, where the presence of the Holy Spirit is especially strong, hundreds and thousands of people get convicted and return back to the Lord, or come to Him newly.

Once we are saved, blood-bought and redeemed through the Blood of Christ, we cannot lose our salvation.  Jesus' Blood is so powerful and precious.

More often than not, this kind of walking in the Land of the Scales where a believer cannot even remember he or she was once saved or remember anything of God is a supernatural work from the devil, many times, even black magic does these strange things to "ex-believers."

We need to stand in the gap and pray and intercede for such.  Then, even on their deathbeds, the Holy Spirit will bring all to remembrance and the scales will fall off their eyes and He will deliver them out of the Land of the Scales.  But we need to pray for them and not give up, and not say they are doomed forever, they need intercession....they were blood bought and that is never lost...to a soul.

Again, if a person once saved never returns to Christ....back again.. this verse holds true Matthew 10:33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

But then the question looms, did they really know Christ in the first place...going to church and doing ministry does not necessarily make one a true follower.  Judas was in the presence of Christ, taught by Him and walked with Him, and still he walked away...did he really receive Christ, did he really know Him?   On the other hand, Peter denied Christ, but came back...the come back is the crux.  That has to be...

The Little White-Flowered Shrub - Poem

When we look up to the heavens, our life starts to change and we change others..

The Little White -flowered Shrub

There was a marshy swamp
Mildewed and damp
With flies buzzing around
Nothing grew out of that slushy ground
With a terrible stench
Like a rotten trench...

Then one fine day
A seed fell down
It started to grow
Into a little plant
Looking always upwards
The plant soon had
White flowers that glowed

A beautiful shrub
With an aroma sweet
It drew from the marsh, the swamp
Minerals and water
But kept its face fixed to the heavens

In the end
The sweetness of the shrub
Transformed the swamp..
More shrubs grew in the dump
All because of the white-flowered shrub
Who kept its face fixed to the heavens
And changed the world around it

In the Vine - Poem

This poem was written after I learned that talking to Jesus throughout the day blessed me beyond my understanding and poured in strength, both spiritual, emotional, and energy, which naturally was not my own!  Abiding in the vine is a blessed wonderful way to live!

In the Vine
Seasons change, winters pass
And spring knocks
On our door
Or a storm
With a mighty roar
Sometimes through a bad spell
Our soul shrivels and shrinks
We lose our golden link

Yet some of us stronger souls
In the darkness shine
As we abide in the Vine
And during that swirling season
We don't live on our wits, intellect or reason
And then we experience joy in that season!

In that moment in time
In communion with God
New doors swing open

His wondrous Voice has spoken
Our spirits rise to the sublime
We sit at His table to dine
His presence transfigures us
Miracles happen in our lives!
When we abide in the Vine

Just A Closer Walk With Thee - Nishat - Testimony

A Walk In The Storm With Rainbows and Sunshine

Nishat (Khan) Mukand

My brother Shazie and me in Canada just days before he died in that car accident:
When my brother Shazie died tragically in a car accident in Canada in 1988, I suddenly was jettisoned to the realization of the fragility of life.  In that I started to seek God more, pray more, read my Bible and then the miracle happened!  I started to experience God in my life in personal ways with the glorious realization that God personally cares for the tiny details in my life that may seem insignificant to others.  He hears, listens, answers and acts!

I learned over the years to depend and talk to the Lord about everything.  In this, I found great joy, unspeakable! and I rest in every storm.  One day, in the late 1990s as I was on my way to Kathmandu, where I would be joining my dear friend, the now late Ms. Parvati who previously worked in Mount Hermon School, Darjeeling, who was the founder of an orphanage in Nepal and was running an orphanage and school in Nepal, established Goodwill School by Fewa Lakeside over a span of many years prior to the Jyoti Niwas Orphanage in Pokhara.  I was a retired teacher, and always prayed to God to show me where to go and whom to help and I had a strong leading to go to Nepal and help her with the children there in Nepal.  As I was waiting at the Katmandu domestic airport, another couple was waiting, and we got talking. They were the Carss and lived in London and were Christians.  We all were on our way to Pokhara, so during our conversation, Tessa Carss, the wife said they were going to meet their youngest daughter Georgina while I myself to meet my very dear friend Parvati.  While seated alongside each other prior to departure for Pokhara; we discovered that we had so many similarities- both believers, both suffered tragedies, I lost my brother, Shazie, in a tragic car crash in 1988 in Canada; Tessa and Richard Carss lost their elder daughter, Zoe, a teenager, tragically to viral fever while on her return to UK from Kathmandu after completing three months of voluntary work as a GAP student there. Thereafter Tessa and Richard Carss had newly established a Trust Fund in memory of Zoe and were keen to help the children of Nepal using those funds.  When Tessa came to know through me about the work that Parvati was doing, she showed a keen interest in meeting her and seeing Goodwill School for herself. She stayed for a short period of three days and two nights at Fish Tail Lodge on Fewa Lake, met Parvati and was pleased with the work, promised to get back to her after meeting her husband on her return to UK. Hence through this divine intervention of our meeting they agreed to help Parvati's orphanage financially and since then then blessings continue to flow, initially with the purchase of land for Zoe Hostel and then financial help for Goodwill School in many untold ways which they are involved in even though Parvati was called Home in 2007. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Over the years, I have experienced miracles in tiny wonderful ways, healing, and just the presence of the Lord in richness and joy.

Years later, on a very hot sunny sultry Sunday I did not want to go church even though I was dressed for it.  I reasoned with m self. No need to go. I have my own good devotional books and reading material. I can stay here and pray on my own. I knelt down and prayed about it for a minute and got a reply so clear. "Go to the temple of the Living God and worship Me there." I realized immediately that it was from God since I had never used the Word Temple for church in my life nor had I heard anyone else use it . Hence I went and was excited about it. A day or so later I got Rev 3;12 when I opened my Bible at random, which I do frequently and am blessed. I am also deeply blessed from going to the church.  I can testify that against all odds, God's hand of grace and favor has been upon me through the years- have taken water baptism late in life and been touched by the Fire of God's presence in such a way that I could not stand in His Presence several times- an awesome experience where I literally fell down in God's holy presence and after that, felt even more closer and awakened to the Lord and His glory.

Over these years, I have grown spiritually stronger and more rested in God and experienced many wonderful things. Even though I have faced trouble and storms, through this, I have felt the strength and peace of the Lord and experienced a rainbow at the end of each storm.   Indeed, the Lord does miracles when you walk closely with Him!

I would like to share about my mother, Nishat (Khan, maiden name) Mukand (my dad).  My father passed away years ago.  Along with my mom, there are three of us sisters.  My mother in 1988 came to a very close relationship with the Lord after the tragic death of her brother, Shazi in Canada in a car accident.  This made her realize the fragility of life and think about eternity.  From then on, my mother literally has a deep walk of faith with the Lord.  Today, at 80 years old, she lives alone in Siliguri, but God has blessed and crowned her with good health, strength and an ability to trust God at every turn of the road, waiting upon Him for every situation of her life.  She even travels to visit us and other friends!  I believe her strength, bravery, and kindness is from a deep walk with God.  She is always interceding, praying for others, and reading her Bible and talking to the Lord.  I have seen miracles and unexpected blessings in her life through the years, and I believe her walk with the Lord even takes her to places and connects her with people very supernaturally.

Waiting - Poem

Today I think it will be soon
I stand and look at the silver moon
On a quiet hilltop with the rustle of leaves
Silently I wait as my heart grieves
My God, He watches me in my pain
Promising “Child, there will be rain
The seeds I have planted, I will feed
Till they grow and fulfill your deepest need
I wait in the silence, the cold moon sails
I wait for Heaven to lift its veil
The veil will lift
For Jesus never fails
