The Desires of Your Heart - Poem

We may go through a bad season

For a particular unknown reason

In that painful period in time

We need to seek for the sublime

As we look up heavenward

We slowly start to move forward

And in that Treasure of Time

We find secrets of Eternal Truth

In Truth, we reap wondrous fruit

For the simple secret is this

"We were made for Him",

Our soul can find no rest

Until we find our rest in Christ

When we abide in Him

Our desires are met

Our empty cup fills to the brim,

When we walk with Him

He builds us with might,

When we delight in Him

He gives the desires of our heart
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word
He gives us the desires of our heart
He hears our cry 
He answers our desire
with abundance and overflowing
He fills our cup till our joy overflows

What He gives is eternal

It can never depart.

Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
