Kings and Rulers - Poem

Some people say almost carelessly
It does not matter who rules a country
Because God is ruling on the throne
While it is irrefutably undeniably, true
Believed by quite a few

Yet, when evil rulers reign
Oppression and horrors dress people's pains
Creating raging wars and turmoil
While millions of people in fury recoil
Millions of broken people wail and cry
Millions of men, women, and children
In tyrannous war zones die

We cannot be dead to the sorrow and horror
So as the midnight hour strikes
We watch, wait and never stop praying
For righteous rulers to rise up and reign
Then God in mercy raises an army on earth
Praying for pure rulers, with groans of childbirth
God's choice brings those who will take a mighty stand
Who will bring justice and safety to all lands

God puts a ruler of His choice
On the throne by divine destiny alone

God raised Moses for such a time as that
God raised David for such a time as that
God raised Joseph for such a time as that
God raised Daniel for such a time as that
God raised Nehemiah for such a time as that

God is raising rulers for such a time as this
